Last year, one foreign wind power bearing users put forward strict quality requirement to ZWZ group. They required ZWZ to apply the special bearing steel for 2MW wind turbine to ensure that the service life of bearing can reach 20 years and above. At that time, there was no steel plant in China can meet the requirement. Based on many years' favorable cooperation with each other, ZWZ Group has highly trusted the Special Steel Division of Baosteel Group, and therefore, they decided to solve the problem together and develop the bearing steel for 2MW wind turbine to replace the import ones.
During the research, the technician of two parties have exchange many times on steel slab quality, material, smelting process, service life, etc. 2 MW wind turbine has developed smoothly through the cooperation of both sides.
