Crude prices gain as stocks rebound

Crude prices gained on Monday as U.S. stocks rebounded.
The U.S. economic recovery continued during the second quarter of this year, but the pace of growth has slowed, according to a survey released Monday by the National Association for Business Economics.
Traders looked to stocks for signs of the economic recovery, as technology stocks led Wall Street higher on Monday.
Light, sweet crude for August delivery rose 53 cents to settle at 76.54 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
In London, Brent crude was up 25 cents to settle at 75.62 dollars a barrel on the ICE futures exchange.
