Thailand's GDP in H1 grows 10.6%: think tank chief

Thailand's gross domestic product (GDP) during the first half (Jan-June), 2010, grew 10.6 percent year on year, the Thai government's think tank chief said on Monday, the Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
The domestic economy has been largely boosted by the country's robust export growth which surged 42 percent year on year, Ampon Kitti-ampon, the secretary-general of the Office of the government think-tank National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), said.
During the 2nd quarter (April-June), 2010, the country's GDP soared 9.1 percent year on year, said Ampon.
The country's GDP for the whole 2010 is projected to expand 7-7. 5 percent year on year, the NESDB secretary-general said.
