Hong Kong's foreign assets of the exchange fund amounted to 2,022.6 billion HK dollars (260 billion U.S. dollars) in November this year, up 13.2 billion HK dollars from that in October, said the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on Tuesday.
The monetary base reached 1,030.8 billion HK dollars in November, according to the data released by the HKMA.
Meanwhile, claims on the private sector in Hong Kong amounted to 110 billion HK dollars, while foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, reached 0.3 billion HK dollars. (1 U.S. dollar is equivalent to 7.779 HK dollars)
