During July in 2010 and January this year, beef exports in Argentina fell and was only 90.6 thousand tons, 63% less than the same period. It was because cattle was in short supply and national price of beef continuously increased, and products originally for export transferred to supply on domestic market.
But because European region government this year distributed customs quota to Argentina exporters in time, "Hilton", beef with high quality exports redounded, which during the period referred above was 14.5 thousand tons, up 147% over the same period. Obviously Argentina probably could finish during 2010-2011most "Hilton" customs quota, 28 thousand tons.
Due to fierce competition on national beef market, during the period referred above average price of beef exports increased up to 7186 dollars per ton, up 83% over the same period.
