The city plans to offer vocational school students access to free education within the next five years, the local education commission said Monday.
No further details on the plans were released Monday.
In a report released Monday it also said that some 97.44 percent of the city's 46,674 vocational school graduates received a job upon graduation last year, up 1.48 percent from the previous year.
Only 9 percent of them, however, were able to secure monthly salaries of more than 3,000 yuan ($460).
