In this important year for the construction of China-ASEAN International Commercial Zone (CAICZ),

Nanning takes many measures to fully speed up the construction of CAICZ, and of more than

40 construction projects, the parks for ASEAN countries have basically been completed and other

projects are under way or being prepared.

At present, the constructions of Vietnamese, Laos, and Korean parks are completed. All the

construction work for Cambodian Park is completed except Building 6 and Building 8 that are

topped off, and all the construction for Japanese Park is completed except the shops outside.

The constructions of the related projects for Myanmar Park, Singaporean Park, Brunei Park,

Thai Park, the Philippines Park, and Hong Kong Park are under way. In addition, the construction

of the liaison offices for the ASEAN countries is completed except Indonesia s which is under way.

The construction of the key part of CAICZ is going on smoothly. The construction of Guangxi Poly

21st Shijia, Kass Garden, Shengtianmingcheng, and Fengling No. 1 is completed and enters the stage

of inspection and acceptance. The project of China Resources Center is a major one in the key area,

the overall planning and designing for the project s Phase-1 part is finished, the construction designing

is under way, and the construction of the underground earthwork engineering is being carried out.

The construction of the main part of the basement will be completed this year.

In addition, the progress of the government-invested projects in CAICZ goes on quickly.

The Phase-1 project of Nanning Consulate Area including 5 buildings and the service center is

completed and has passed the checking and acceptance by the related departments, the

afforestation and road projects in the Consulate Area have been completed, the neighborhood

center is completed, too. 80% of the roadwork for the parks of all countries is completed, the

National Movie Town is scheduled to be topped off at the end of August and completed in

April 2011, the preliminary work for the leisure park and Guiya Primary School is completed

and will be put into use at the end of this year, the preliminary work for the projects including

Nanning Municipal Science and Technology Museum, Mayor s Mansion, and ASEAN Cultural

Exchange Center is being carried out, and the construction of the Control Center for Nanning

Power Grid has been started.
