China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec), the nation's largest oil refiner, said Friday it processed 211 million tonnes of crude oil in 2010, up 13.16 percent year on year, as the Chinese economy grew quickly.

The company produced 10.5 percent more diesel and 19.54 percent more kerosene to cope with surging demand, as the government rationed electricity to meet energy-saving goals.

The company produced 330 million barrels of crude oil last year, slightly higher than in 2009. The figure was unaudited.

Its natural gas output grew 47.63 percent year on year to 12.5 billion cubic meters.

The Chinese economy grew 10.3 percent in 2010.
