AC Milan's Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been handed a three match suspension for his red card in last weekend's Italian Serie A match.
AC Milan tied with Bari 1-1 last Saturday and Ibrahimovic was sent off in the 74th minute for punching Bari defender Marco Rossi in the chest.
The suspension means AC Milan, who currently sit top of the standings and five points ahead of defending champions Inter, will be missing their top scorer for the Milan derby match on April 3.
The club has appealed the decision and it will be heard on either Thursday or Friday this week.
