Santos' star midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso participated in his first scrimmage on Wednesday after recovering from a knee surgery.
In the match between Santos' reserve players and its under-20 team, Ganso led his team to a 6-0 win.
Ganso scored two goals in the match. His mobility and ability impressed the team's medical staff. His participation in the scrimmage was his first real test since suffering a tear in his left anterior cruciate ligament on August 25 against Gremio in the 2010 Brazilian Championship.
Due to Ganso's performance, the team is seriously considering bumping up his expected return date and use him on March 12 against Botafogo-SP in the 13th round of the Sao Paulo state championship. If he does not play on Sunday, he is expected to play on March 16 against Chile's Colo-Colo in the Libertadores Cup.
