Italian legend Marco Tardelli believes AC Milan are still the favorite to win the Serie A title despite of their recent dip in form.
The Rossoneri are now in a three-horse race for the Scudetto with the other two teams are Inter and Napoli, which are two and three points adrift of the league leaders respectively.
AC Milan are still the favorites to lift the crown when all is said and done in Serie A, according to Tardelli.
"The advantage is two points, and Milan are always ahead of Inter while the Nerazzurri need to win the derby if they are to take the lead in the standings," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 1982 World Cup winner also believes that Milan's slip-ups to Bari and Palermo might serve to strengthen the spirit of the squad before the derby, saying: "Their recovery must come against Inter and cannot go wrong."
Milan will lock horns with Inter on April 2.
