Brazil is now trying to reassure FIFA that it will be ready to stage a good World Cup in 2014.
The reassurances come after FIFA president Sepp Blatter criticised delays in the country's preparations earlier this week.
Brazil's Sports Minister Orlando Silva contends Blatter will change his mind after taking a closer look at what they're doing in Brazil.
"I am not a commentator of President Blatter's statements. What I can say is that President Blatter is always welcome in Brazil and when he arrives here -- he is scheduled to come here this semester --, he will have a clear notion of Brazil's preparations and I believe he will be very confident", said Silva.
Brazil has already come under fire for being behind on construction.
Recent studies have shown that Brazil, which is also set to host the 2016 Olympic Games, is still struggling to meet airport and hotel capasity targets.
The state of Sao Paulo has still not deciced yet whether it's going to build a new stadium, or refurbish the old one.
