The China Earthquake Administration plans to allocate 1.96 billion yuan (302 million US dollar) for quake forecast, disaster prevention and relief work, Beijing Morning Post reports.
The Administration published on its website that almost 70 percent of the 2.9 billion yuan budget will be spent tackling earthquake affairs, 570 million more than last year.
In response to more frequent and more destructive earthquakes, the government is determined to invest more in quake relief and research work.
To inform the public about the capital flow, the Administration began to post their budget sheet on the website in 2010. They have received many suggestions from the netizens.
