Nepali PM Meets Visiting Senior PLA Official

Nepali Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal met with Chen Bingde, Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in Kathmandu Thursday.
On the occasion, PM Khanal reiterated Nepal's commitment to " One-China" policy and added that Nepal would not allow any force to use Nepal's territory to engage in any anti-China or separatist activities. China attaches importance to establishing comprehensive and cooperative partnership between the two countries, Chen Bingde said, adding that he hopes the ongoing peace process in Nepal would soon reach a successful conclusion. Earlier Thursday, Chen Bingde held a meeting with Defence Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel. Chen Bingde is on a three-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of General Chhatra Man Singh Gurung, Chief of Army Staff for the Nepalese Army.
