Low-cost terminal to be built in Melbourne airport

Jetstar, Tiger Airways and Australia Pacific Airport s Corporation plan to build new low-cost terminal at the southern end of Tullamarine, Melbourne airport.
According to a report in eTravel Blackboard Australia, the proposed T5 terminal would allow Jetstar to move from its current base at the main terminal, providing Qantas and its passengers much needed space. Jetstar s relocation is also deemed to improve the overall check-in and security procedures.
The new T5 is estimated to be a multi-million dollar terminal that would also be of use to house retail facilities.
