Yeojin Bae brings Paris glamour to Perth

Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) embraced its coming of age with a sophisticated line-up of Western Australian and national fashion design talent.
The Western Australian Museum s high ornate ceilings and polished boards provided the perfect setting for the Festival s first runway shows Yeojin Bae and Designer Capsule #1.
Yeojin Bae, a cult status label in the Australian fashion industry, Premiered her Spring Summer 2011/12 collection while WA Designers Paperskye, Lisa Marjanovich and Little Gracie wowed audiences in PFF s first Designer Capsule runway show.
Yeojin Bae brought Paris glamour to Perth with a collection boasting bold colours and floral prints.
PFF s first Designer Capsule saw Fashion Paramount transformed into a girlie, floral wonderland with flowers adorning the venue and cupcakes for front row guests.
Spotted front row at both shows was former Spice Girl Mel B wearing Wheels & Dollbaby, husband Stephen Belafonte, Perth Fashion Festival Directors Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and Tony Sage, designer Aurelio Costarella, fashion bloggers Hayley Hughes and Romy Frydman and Harper s Bazaar s Remy Duscher.
Today s schedule will see the first Western Australian stand-alone show at Fashion Paramount as well as a long list of events at Fashion Central.

- Fashion Icon High Tea, 3.30pm, Pan Pacific Hotel
The Fashion Icon High Tea is an exciting new event on this year s Festival calendar.
WA s fashion icons Liz Davenport, Maurice Meade, Liz Carberry and PFF s Ambassador and Right Honourable Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi will take part in a Q&A panel discussion to provide a wonderful insight into the evolving world of fashion.
- Designer Capsule #2 Poppy Lissiman, On Tour & Bhalo, 6.30pm, Fashion Paramount
Designer Capsule 2 is tipped to be an extravaganza of colour and print, thanks to the bright style and fabrics used by WA designers Poppy Lissiman, On Tour & Bhalo.
Each designer will present 15-20 looks with their own unique theming a fashion feast for those attending.
- Story by Tang, 9pm, Fashion Paramount
Leading Western Australian designer Christine Tang s penchant for party dresses will be on show tonight as her internationally acclaimed label Story by Tang hits the runway at Fashion Paramount.
Renowned for its distinctive elegant-chic party dresses, liquid tops, layered tutu miniskirts, street savvy printed t-shirts and practical tailored jackets this is one party that Perth s fashionsitas will not want to miss.
