High quality fashion product specialist Tainan Enterprises Co. Ltd. has projected that its performance would be better this year.
The company estimates that its shipments would grow by 10 percent to 7.37 million dozens of garments during the ongoing July-September quarter, in spite of the third quarter normally being an off-season for apparel sector.
At the end of the current quarter, the company is expecting its total earnings to rise 15.9 percent to US$ 84 million and its earnings per share (EPS) to increase to US$ 0.027 from US$ 0.015.
The company currently operates 717 stores under its Tony Wear brand, which it plans to increase to 800 by the end of 2011. It also has another 260 stores for Emely brand and two exclusive Tony Town outlets, which are planned to increase to 300 and 4, respectively.
Owing to the expansion of its outlets, Tainan s brand business is projected to grow 11 percent year-on-year to US$ 90.67 million. The company is expecting its net earnings to grow by 10 percent to US$ 342.53 million and its EPS will likely rise to US$ 0.122.
