Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has pledged its support for promotion of the apparel industry in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
During a meeting with the J&K State Governor NN Vohra, the Council apprised him regarding the steps that need to be taken to tap the immense potential for promotion of apparel and other garment exports from J&K to other parts of India and across the world.
AEPC also stated that the proposal for setting up an Apparel Development Training Centre in Kashmir has obtained all the necessary clearances.
The Governor extended an assurance that all the matters discussed during the meeting would be taken up with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
