Urban Outfitters wins RIS News Fusion Award

Long known as an innovator in in-store technology, Urban Outfitters is rolling out Starmount s mobile-assisted selling software, Starmount Engage, throughout its brands, including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People, to deliver a more connected, relevant shopping experience.

The annual RIS News Fusion Awards were announced at the 2011 Cross-Channel Retail Executive Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Four Seasons Troon North from Sept. 28 30. Winners were selected by a seven-member panel of judges made up of RIS News editors, analysts and retail board members. The award recognizes leading retailers who have successfully fused technology solutions with cross-channel business strategies. Winners are honored for achieving outstanding business results and noteworthy IT accomplishments.
