China's Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) would close for trading for the incoming Tomb Sweeping Day that falls on April 5.
The SSE will close from April 3 (Sunday) to April 5 (Tuesday) and open for trading on April 6 (Wednesday). It will also close on the weekend on April 2 (Saturday), according to a statement on its website Friday.
Meanwhile, the SZSE will close for trading between April 2 and April 5 and open for trading on April 6.
The Tomb Sweeping Day, or Qingming in Chinese, is a day when Chinese people commemorate the deceased. It falls on April 5 this year.
