Jilue Huanggong Temple

Huanggong Temple, built in the 13th year of Guangxu Emperor in the Qing dynasty (1887), is situated at the tip of Tie Lane, Yi’an Road in the city proper. It is the only one that has been announced to be the National Excellent Architectural Relics of modern times till now in Chaozhou and Shantou. The ancestral hall is the binary construction, four halls opposite direction pattern, and the rear room holds small houses. The seat of honor sulcus is the typical structure of three (left side: “mu”; right side: “zai”) five wooden and eighteen semifinished products modular design which is especially widely known as the unsurpassable and exquisite Chaozhou wood engraving and is praised as “One Excellence of Chaozhou”.
