Taiwan-based Hunan Descendants Welcomed in Hometown

Feng Bo, president of Hunan Association for Exchange Promotion across the Taiwan Straits and Zhang Jingyu, president of the Taiwan Chinese Huxiang (Hunan) Culture Development Association sign Hunan-Taiwan exchange and cooperation agreement at the ceremony.

The CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan Provincial People's Government held a welcoming ceremony in Changsha to enhance blood bond and seek common development with the returned Taiwan Hunanese and their descendants on the morning of Dec. 11. Mei Kebao, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Zhang Mingqing, vice president of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits and Zhang Jingyu, head of "Taiwan-based Hunan Descendants Travel to Hunan" delegation addressed at the ceremony respectively.

Deputy Secretary Mei extended warm welcome to the delegation. He hoped that Hunan people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits will join hands to promote exchange and cooperation, realize mutually beneficial and win-win result, and build a better homeland.

Vice President Zhang Mingqing stated that this activity is bound to strengthen intimacy between Hunanese across the straits, and boost exchange and cooperation in all fields between Hunan and Taiwan compatriots of all circles.

Mr. Zhang Jingyu hoped that Hunan people can work hand in hand in a bid to usher in more blessings for the compatriots on both sides of the straits.
