Old Water Channel in Song Dynasty Founded in Jinan
A south-north road is found on the archaeological site. It is researched that the road was built in the Tang Dynasty (A.D.618~907) and lasted to the Song Dynasty (A.D.960~1279). Archaeological expert tells that the road is 2m wide and 6.2m below the earth surface. It has two layers according to geological standards. The upper one was formed in the early Song Dynasty, in which a few of pottery and ceramic chips were found. And the lower one was formed in the Tang Dynasty, in the middle of which two old parallel ruts were found.
