Recently, the first folk singer competition was held in Lixia District, Jinan. Over 120 people from communities governed by 13 offices took part in the competition. The competitor are mostly amateurs from all walks of life, most of whom are backbones working in grass-root mass culture. There ages span from 7 to 70. Through fierce competition, the top ten singers in Lixia District and top three excellent singers were selected. (Lixia District)
