On January 2, a three-day fare titled First Dongguan Wine Culture & Art Fare (called the Wine fare hereinafter) is curtain down. According to the GM of Dongguan art Exhibition Center, this form of fare, combining wine and painting, can improve taste of citizen as well as reputation of Dongguan as an art exhibition center. The Wine fare is expected to be held every year sinceafter.
According to the source concerned, the Wine fare has 170 stands, all of them are from renown wine brands in the country or worldwide, a dozen grape varieties in total. It is planned for another commercial activity since Nancheng Gourmet Festival and Consumption Fare not long ago.
Wine sales have been gettting hot for recent years. No outdoor wine fare had been held yet. To attract more wine distributors and agents, Dongguan Art Exhibition Center especially makes the offer of providing exhibit stands for free.
And the result of this Wine fare. According to Mr. Zhao, the GM, participants are not as many as those of Beer Festival, Gourmet Festival and other celebration events, because of higher level of pattern of wine consumption. However, the organizing and team working are good. He expects this kind of wine fare to be held every year after this one, and he hopes it will become the hottest cultural celebration event in Dongguan.
