Using a discharging rod - a weapon that delivers an electric shock - a man robbed a store of 600 yuan ($91) in Dongguan, Guangdong province, last month.
The man wearing a suit walked into the convenience store at midnight. The two woman workers there thought he was a customer, but the man suddenly attacked one of them with the discharging rod and threatened the other.
He took all of the money in the store, although it was in small notes; after several robberies, the store had quit keeping large bills.
On getting the money, the man tried to hurt the worker who was still conscious, but her fierce resistance fought him off. The worker, who passed out, did not come to until several minutes later.
