Beijing Capital Int'l Airport Co., Ltd. and Airports of Thailand Plc. signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Sister Airports Relationship on 22 Feb in Beijing. This step will strengthen cooperation and communication in areas such as airport operations, service improvement, commercial management etc., advance the exploitation and practice of new technology and concept, and expand the growing Asian aviation market between the two parties.

Airports of Thailand Plc. is an influential airport management company in South East Asia, managing and operating 6 airports in Thailand. It plays an important role in Asia Pacific and global aviation network. Suvarnabhumi International Airport registered 42.5 million passengers in 2010, ranking 12th in the world.

In recent year, Airports of Thailand Plc. has made significant achievements in passenger service quality and commercial management, its enterprise social responsibility and crisis management set example for global aviation industry. As the first national gateway of China and with the mission to "Advance China Service, Develop International Hub", BCIA demonstrates positive image of rapid economic and social development of China to the world by achieving significant improvement in safety, security service and operations.

President & CEO of Capital Airports Holding Company Dr. Dong Zhiyi noted in the ceremony that as two important air hub management companies, BCIA Co., Ltd. and AOT Plc. has contributed greatly to the aviation development and economic growth for respective countries. With the deepening of China and ASEAN (10+1) dialog mechanism, the economic and cultural exchange between China and Thailand will be strengthened.

Aviation sector cooperation will build a bridge between China and Thailand, China and ASEAN countries to better create harmonious relations and face common challenges. Under this circumstance, the establishment of sister airports relationship between the two companies is within mutual interest.

BCIA Co., Ltd. has established sister airports relationship with Airports of Thailand Plc., Airport Authority of Hong Kong, Athens Int'l Airport, Changi Airport Group, Aeroports de Paris Management, Vancouver Airport Authority, Narita Int'l Airport, Sydney Int'l Airport, Schipol Group and so on.
