After winning three awards for "Inverter Technology Breakthrough", "the Best-selling Inverter Air Conditioner", and "the Leading Brand Of Inverter Air Conditioner" in China s AC industry in August, Hisense received more good news about its dual-mode inverter air conditioner. This time the news came from Berlin, Germany: Recently, at IFA, Hisense s dual-mode inverter air conditioner won the 2010 China Household Electrical Appliance Technical Innovation Award for its leading international technical achievements.

Dr. Zhou Xiaotian, vice-president of Hisense, delivering a speech
The main reason that the Hisense dual-mode inverter air conditioner won these awards is that it has solved the energy-consumption problem that plagued traditional single-mode inverter air conditioners at start-up. Before, only under long-term operation does energy conservation take place. Based on the most advanced DC inverter technology, the dual mode inverter air conditioner makes use of the innovative IDM dual-mode control, electronic expansion valve control and many other leading international technologies. Hisense has provided a technical upgrade in inverter air conditioner technology that makes further progress in energy conservation.
Inverter air conditioners are well-known for their energy-saving and eco-friendly benefits. However, the power consumption of inverter air conditioners during startup is inefficiently high. Without long usage, the energy saving benefits of traditional inverter air conditioners won t be noticed. In fact, these ACs even use more energy than on/off air conditioners with similar specifications. With the dual-mode operation, Hisense leading edge inverter air conditioners can obtain energy-saving benefits no matter how long or short it s been running for. Take Hisense s KFR-36GW/88FZBP (a) for example, the SEER reaches 7.1 (according to the new national standard), and 36% higher than the 1st-level EES inverter air conditioners (SEER of 5.2). When using the high-efficiency electricity saving mode , 20% more energy is saved than single-mode inverter air conditioners with the same specifications and SEER. When using the long-term energy saving mode , the power consumption per hour is only 0.17 kilowatt-hours under low-frequency operation. In addition, Hisense dual mode inverter air conditioners use R410, an environment-friendly refrigerant popular around the world. Thus, these air conditioners are more environment-friendly, quieter, and longer lasting.

As a special guest at the award ceremony, Zhou Xiaotian, VP of Hisense, stated that China has already become the country with the largest number of household appliances and now, is turning into a country that also produces advanced technology for household appliances. Independent innovation and energy conservation have already become popular trends in China s home appliance industry. The recognition from industrial experts and the award given to Hisense s dual mode inverter air conditioner indicate the ever-increasing strength and influence of China s domestic home appliance industry. He also expressed that by attaching importance on product innovation and reinforcing quality management, there will be increasingly more domestic companies winning international recognition. This will accelerate China s progress, from Made in China to Created in China.
