FISU 1st Vice-President at SZU to Fine-Tune 2011 FISU Conference

On December 2nd, 2009, Mr. Claude-Louis Gallien, First Vice-President of FISU and the Chair of CESU, visited SZU to discuss the major preparation work for FISU conference that will be held at SZU campus in 2011 during the Universiade.Mr. Huang Guoqiangan,Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal Government, and members of the organizing board of Shenzhen 20011 universiade escorted Mr.Gallien. Prof.Zhang Bigong, President of Shenzhen University, met the guests and participated in the discussion session at Rm.201 at President Office.

The discussion focused on the specific issues of the draft of the 2011 Summer Universiade Conference Guidance Agreement, and generally reached consensus on the key milestones, key-note speakers and topics & sub-topics and relevant issues for the 2011 FISU Conference. The three parties pledged the future efficient cooperation and determination of hosting a successful conference. Mr. Gallien also invited the delegation of Shenzhen University for attending the 2010 FISU Forum in Vigo in order to accumulate more experiences.

In the afternoon, Professor Gallien inspected the venues and facilities of Shenzhen University and delivered a lecture named Global Society, Ethics, High Education and Sports to SZU students.
