Delegation from Cypress Semiconductor Corporation Visiting USTC

Dr. Patrick Kane, Global Director of Cypress USA s University Program, and Dr. Wei Rong, the Manager of Cypress China, made a short visit to USTC and participated in a reception meeting held in the School of Information Science and Technology on December 15th. Prof. Lin Fujiang, Dean of Dept. 23, and Associate Dean Liu Falin of the School of Information Science and Technology greeted the delegation on the reception meeting.

On the meeting, Dr. Kane made a brief introduction about Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and its main products. He expressed the willingness that Cypress shall provide Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) products, materials, technical advising as well as training program to USTC so as to support the teaching and experiments of the School. Issues of corporation such as the founding of co-lab and the setting of relevant courses are also brought forward on the meeting.

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, with its headquarter set in San Jose, CA, USA, is an international semi-conductor company engaged in high performance IC production. The company pays great attention to the cooperation in Chinese Education Field and has therefore signed some agreement on founding co-lab with universities like Tsinghua University and Tianjin University etc.
