Huang Caoliang, which is located in northwest of Mentougou District in Beijing and with an elevation of 1773 meters, is a famous traveling station on Jingxi Ancient Path. It is known as Pearl Road, echoing with Lingshan, Baihuashan and Miaofengshan over a distance. The South of Mountain has been a vital access of Jingxi Ancient Path since the ancient times. The Yakou at the South of Mountain, TianjinPass is the only way to Jingxi Ancient Path from Ma Huangyu, Huailai County of Hebei, and through Liu Jiayugou, Yanhecheng, Baiyu and Zhaitang. TianjinPass is set at the gateway between Baiyu and Yanhecheng, where there is a vestige of ancient troops with a hundred square meters around and being surrounded by stone walls. In addition, there is a meadow on the mountain from east to west which extends several kilometers. It keeps green for only a few months in a year, and other times it will be deep yellow, so it is called Huang Caoliang.
