Huangdi Mausoleum is located in ShandongzhuangVillage, Pinggu District, Beijing. According to the record of Text on Old Lore at the Time it is said that the Huangdi Mausoleum is located in Yuzishan, which is 15 miles from the northeast of Pinggu District, with upheavals and like a big grave, also called Yuzishan, under which is XuanyuanTemple. At the local, Yuzishan also referred to TempleMountain, and in the past there was XuanyuanTemple , the top of the mountain is called MausoleumMountain , namely Huangdi Mausoleum. Sun Chengze Sun in Qing Dynastery described in Tianfu Guangji-Cemetery: that there are big graves in Yuzishan northeast of Pinggu District, known as Xuanyuan Stand , and according to the legend, this is the Huangdi Mausoleum. In the ancient time, it is temple, but today it has become desolation. As Huangdi lived in Hebei (Beijing area), thus his mausoleum is here, too. The old saying that he lived in Qiaoshan (the Qiaoshan Huangdi Mausoleum in Huanglin, Lingxi) or Ningzhou is not right. In addition, according to Daqing Yitongzhi, Chang an Kehua, Jifuzhi, Guangxu Shuntianfuzhi, Dijing Jingwulue, PingguCounty annals and some other ancient books, we can find the record about the Huangdi Mausoleum in Pinggu District.

In 1992, organized by the Institute of Archeology of Beijing, the experts and scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, History Museum, the Institute of History of Beijing make further research found that the Huangdi Mausoleum in Shandong Zhuangcun, Pinggu District, Beijing is the real Huangdi Mausoleum (see Jingdou series Pinggu ). Nowadays, XuanyuanTemple has been renovated but rarely known by people. During annual mourning time, large-scale ancestral worship should be held here as the Huangdi Mausoleum in ShaanxiProvince to enhance its popularity and attract more visitors and overseas Chinese descent to the real Huangdi Mausoleum to seek our roots. In addition, many activities and wars of Huangdi, Yandi and Chiyou occured in Yanqin and the intersection region in Zhuolu of Huailai.
