Chinese President Hu Jintao left here Saturday morning for Russia to attend the ceremony in Moscow marking the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Hu will stay in Russia from May 8 to 9 as the guest of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Hu's entourage includes Ling Jihua, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; Wang Huning, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee; State Councilor Dai Bingguo; Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi; Ma Xiaotian, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army; Director of the President's Office Chen Shiju and Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping.
