Longwu Temple

Longwu Temple was built around 1301 BC and belongs to the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The temple is beginning to be discovered by visitors and currently, only a few visitors come for touring purposes. The Tibetan-style temple is backed by a mountain setting. Buildings are well arranged, and gloriously decorated.

The main hall is in the center of the temple grounds. It has an area of 1700 square meters.  Inside the hall there are 18 large columns and 146 small columns supporting the building. The Buddha sculptures displayed are inspiring for their carving skill. The statue of Tsongkhapa is 11 meters tall and its pedestal has a circumference of 26 meters. Gilded and decorated with diamonds the statue is very awe-inspiring.
