Value-Added of Industry Expanded in the First Half Year


In the first half year, value-added of the industrial enterprises above designated size (all state-owned enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises with an annual income over 5 million yuan) expanded 16.3 percent, year-on-year, and 2.2 percentage points dropped as compared over same period of previous year.

In terms of main sectors, the growth rate of textile industry, chemical raw materials and products industry, non-metal mineral products industry, smelting and pressing of ferrous metals industry, general equipment manufacturing industry, transportation equipment manufacturing industry, electric machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, telecommunication, computer and other electric facilities manufacturing industry, and production and supply of electric power and heat power expanded 12.7, 14.2, 21.0, 14.6, 21.8, 21.4, 21.3, 17.1 and 11.9 percent respectively.

In terms of main products, the coal, crude oil and electricity reached 1260, 94.33 million tons and 1,680.3 billion kilowatt-hours, up by 14.8, 1.7 and 12.9 percent respectively, year-on-year; that of pig iron, crude steel and rolled steel achieved 246.42, 263.20 and 299.97 million tons, rose by 7.9, 9.6 and 12.5 percent respectively; that of cement was 650 million tons, up by 8.7 percent; that of automobiles was5.35 million sets, up by 17.6 percent, of which, saloon cars stood at 2.83 million sets, jumped by 16.6 percent.

The sales ratio of industrial products was 97.72 percent, up 0.23 percentage points with the same period of last year. The export delivery value of industrial enterprises reached 3,833.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.0 percent.

In June, the value-added of industry increased 16.0 percent, year-on-year.
