Vice Minister Zhang Taolin: Strengthen Scientific Support, Improve Agricultural Mechanization Services

Recently, Zhang Taolin, Vice Minister of Agriculture went to Daxing District and Shunyi District in Beijing to conduct inspection and survey of agricultural production in spring. He stressed that this year witnessed a series of natural disasters; the harvest of summer grain would play an essential part for maintaining stable and fast economic and social development. Agricultural authorities at all levels should be fully confident in achieving a bumper harvest of summer grain, give full play to science and technology support, provide agricultural mechanization services, and safeguard a harvest of summer grain.

The Vice Minister took great interest in the construction of grass-root agricultural mechanization systems. He went to the 4S store of agricultural mechanization and agricultural mechanization service station in Qingyundian Township, Daxing District. He pointed out that with the fast development of agricultural mechanization, authorities at all levels should prioritize the shift of agricultural mechanization development and improve agricultural mechanization equipments.

During his inspection and survey, Zhang Taolin also pointed out that agricultural comprehensive service centers should make more efforts in technical services and information and the trainings for farmers, so that the service centers could shoulder their social responsibilities and serve farmers.
