Vice Minister Niu Dun Meets with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland

May 20-Vice Minister Niu Dun met with the visiting Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Marek Sawicki.

According to Minister Sawicki, Poland is a major power of agro-products production and processing. In particular, the meat product from Poland is of high quality, rational price, and fully in line with the EU safety standards. He hoped that meat product from Poland could be allowed into China s market as soon as possible.

Vice Minister Niu Dun pointed out that China supported trade liberalization and its market was highly open. China welcomes the high-quality agro-products from Poland. In order to strengthen bilateral agro-trade, Vice Minister Niu suggested that the Polish side should reinforce the promotion for its high-quality agro-products, hold exhibitions and experiencing activities, to help Chinese consumers know better about Polish agro-products.

The meeting was also attended by officials from the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Science, Technology and Education, and the Bureau of Veterinary.
