On July 15, Minister Han Changfu met with the delegation of Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fishing.
Han Changfu said that China and France had carried out substantive cooperation in many areas such as agricultural technology, animal husbandry, grape planting and wine making, and made remarkable achievements, playing positive role in raising the agricultural managerial and technological level of the two countries. He added that the Chinese side was willing to work with the French side in a concerted effort to promote the healthy and profound development of bilateral agriculture cooperation.
Le Maire agreed with Minister Han and suggested that China and France should, under the G20 framework, strengthen exchanges and communication on issues concerning quality and safety of agricultural food, price-stabilization mechanism and greater transparency, in order to jointly improve the stable development of global agriculture.
After the meeting, Han Changfu and Le Maire attended the signing ceremony of the Joint Statement on Strengthening China-France Cooperation in Demonstration Farms of Grape Planting and Wine Making issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People s Republic of China, French Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fishing, and Canaan Investment Company.
