On Oct. 22, 2009, CNR was awarded 400 model HXD3 electric locomotives with 7,200 kW and Co-Co. This is the third contract of this kind of locomotive and the accumulative total number reached 1,040. Since 2004, CNR has got 2,200 electric locomotives contracts from MOR, which occupancy 67.2% in Chinese market, the total delivery among which is about 900.
The electric locomotives under this contract will be built within 8 months in three subsidiaries, CNR Dalian, Datong and Beijing Feb. 7th.
On Sept. 28, 2009, CNR signed a contract with MOR for supply of 140 sets EMU with the speed of 350 km/h. This is the second time of the same content contract in this year and the accumulative total number reached 400 sets.
CRH3 "Harmony" 350 km/h EMU broke the speed record in China on 2008-06-24 at 394.3 km/h. Since Aug 1, 2008, 19,000,000 passengers have enjoyed CRH3 journey.
The 350 km/h EMU under this contract will be built in two subsidiaries, CNR Changchun, and Tangshan.
