ZTE Unveils Wave2-based 2.3GHz Pico Base Station 9200

ZTE Corp is announcing the availability of Wave2-based 2.3GHz Pico base station 9200 and has claimed that the company is first in the industry to further improve and expand the WiMAX (News - Alert) equipment supply chain.

Tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of application scenarios, ZTE provides flexible solutions across 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz bands.
The E9200 base station allows high-speed transmission with downstream rate at 30Mbps. It has the capacity to provide a reliable all-scenario solution as it can tackle coverage issues even in high density regions. It features a compact size of 260mm x 200mm x 65mm which makes the installation much easier.

Despite the recession, the WiMAX industry has registered impressive growth in the last few years. Following various commercial network rollouts all over the world, the global WiMAX market has entered a period of practical development and stable growth, says ZTE. An additional 94 WiMAX commercial networks were deployed globally in 2008 and 15 of these were built by ZTE.
Recently, ZTE announced that the company was introducing a new type of 3G strategy for consumers by combining telecom and IT with a 3G lifestyle. The new strategy was announced as the company launched its new 3G terminal products for time division-synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA), code division multiple access (CDMA) and wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) divided into nine different terminal categories and 40 product types.
