ZTE Corp today announced the launch of two commercial TD-LTE base stations, BBU- B8300 and RRU- R8962. The development is likely to assist the fast commercialization of TD-LTE which may find relevance in the Indian market as well.
The B8300 base station is based on ZTE s SDR platform and can be upgraded from TD-SCDMA to TD-LTE or TD/TD-LTE dual mode. The R8962 base station supports two channels with 20W transmission power each which ZTE says is the highest transmission power and power efficiency in the industry.
Today s development follows ZTE showcasing a TD-LTE network at the Shanghai World Expo.
