Bankcard Acceptance Environment & Best BOC Merchants Awarding Conference Held in Qingdao

To realize the strategic goal of Changing to Lead, Leading to Change and to strengthen the presence as the sole banking partner of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, BOC Bank Card Center held Bankcard Acceptance Environment & Best BOC Merchant Awarding Conference on August 11, 2007 in Qingdao, an Olympic co-hosting city. Mr. ZHOU Zaiqun, BOC Vice President, Mr. WANG Shujian, Vice Mayor of Qingdao City, and Ms. YUAN Bin, Minister of BOCOG Market Development were present.

The conference reviewed BOC s work in improving Olympic bankcard acceptance environment, praised those merchants that had been supporting BOC bankcard business development such as Wanhao Group, and introduced BOC s Olympic-themed Promotion Campaign in near future.

Before the conference, Mr. ZHOU and Ms. YUAN were jointly interviewed by five national media. President ZHOU said in the interview that BOC would seize the opportunity of Olympic Games and make special efforts for better development. He promised again that BOC would deliver quality finance payment service for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Meanwhile Ms. Yuan introduced BOCOG s priority in market development next year, and expressed thanks to BOC s contribution to the preparation of Beijing Olympic Games during the past few years.
