On October 15th, 2008, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China held a grand opening ceremony in New York, and formally declared the opening of its New York Branch. At the same time, ICBC New York Branch has been warmly welcomed by local business communities. The Empire State Building, a famous New York landmark, lit up the ESB tower on that night in red and yellow colors, which as a symbol of and in accordance with the colors of China s national flag, in honor of the celebration of the newly born ICBC New York Branch.
