BOCOG Ticketing Center halts Domestic Ticket Sales in the Second Phase

Write: Raja [2011-05-20]

The domestic Olympic ticket sales in the second phase, launched at 9 a.m. Tuesday through 1,001 designated BOC outlets and other channels, was met with an unprecedented rise in ticket demand from the general public. Because of the overwhelming volume of page visits, the official ticketing website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was unable to perform the tasks well enough, and many applicants were unable to successfully submit their orders.

After careful consideration, BOCOG has decided to temporarily halt the domestic ticket sales in the second phase to improve the technical plan and will announce new ticketing information on November 5.

Bank of China will continue to assist BOCOG for the new ticketing plan and will notify relevant information to the public in time. The applicants are therefore kindly reminded to wait for the latest news and to revisit BOC outlets upon BOCOG s official notification that the ticket sales begin again.

Bank of China hereby thanks for our customers trust, understanding and support. We will do our best in assisting BOCOG in the ticket sales with quality service.

For more information on the policy of Olympic ticket sales, please call BOCOG s official ticketing hotline at 010-952008.
