Report on Torch Relay in Fujian Province

On May 11, the Olympic torch relay arrived at Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian province. Bank of China Fujian Branch did full preparation to ensure the smooth operation of torch relay.

In the aspect of organizing, Fujian Branch communicated with local government to guarantee the Bank s interest as a sponsor. It also built promotion camps at the site of launching and celebration ceremony to enhance the corporate culture and public image of Bank of China. Besides, it got 100 and 130 audience seats at the two sites respectively, as well as several entry cards along the route for the staff. A meeting was also hold to make specific arrangement of the related work for the torch relay at next stops in Fujian Province.

There were four torchbearers from Bank of China at this stop, Fang Zhou and Fan Xiang from Fujian Branch, Chen Yaohui from Bank of China (Hong Kong), and Wang Zeyu from London Branch. Fujian Branch organized seven hundred rooters to cheer for torchbearers on along the roads, put up signs of Bank of China relating to torch relay, and shot the situation of the torch relay completed by the torchbearers from Bank of China.

After the relay, Fang zhou was interviewed by China National Radio, while she was invited to join a interview program at Fujian News Television together with Mr. Chen Yaohui. On the very day, Fujian Branch organized about 700 staff to cheer for BOC torchbearers and put up posters at the outlets along the relay route.
