For the celebration of China's 60th anniversary and the appreciation of customers' support, ICBC will offer discounts on Internet-banking transfer and remittance for VIP customers from Sep. 1st to Dec. 31st, 2009. As for the special offers, customers can enjoy 73% discount off of over-the-counter charges of transfer and remittance services by using the ICBC Internet Banking (VIP Version) service.
As reported, customers enjoy a significant rate of discount for transfer and remittance charges in the offers of ICBC. Specifically, ordinary members of the Internet Banking (VIP Version) can have 55% discount off of over-the-counter charges of transfer and remittance services, whereas silver medal and gold medal members can enjoy a discount of 73%. Besides special offers for transfer and remittance, ICBC also offers discounts on online funds, cross-border remittance, tuition payment, agency gold bullion, ICBC Messenger and other services through the Internet Banking (VIP Version) service.
According to an official in charge at ICBC, the Personal Internet Banking (VIP Version) service is a specially designed version for quality customers, based on the public version of Personal Internet Banking service. Personal Internet Banking (VIP Version) includes all functions and services of the public version, moreover, it also provides exclusive service channels, exclusive service areas, exclusive offers, exclusive services and products for VIP customers.
Personal Internet Banking (VIP Version) operates in the membership system, with three levels of memberships member, silver medal member and gold medal member. A customer who has an Elite Club Account in the registered card for the Internet Banking enjoys a member's services for free, a customer who has a Peony Platinum Card (this card must be registered to the Internet Banking service at ICBC counters) becomes a silver medal member for free.
Customers of the public Personal Internet Banking can also become members of different levels by paying the respective membership fees.
The official also says that, by the end of July this year, customers of Personal Internet Banking have exceeded 67 million, and those of Personal Internet Banking (VIP Version) have exceeded 4 million within only one year's service. As for the next step, ICBC will furthermore improve its research, development and innovation of products, continue to provide stronger, handier and cheaper Internet Banking services, and better satisfy our customers' demand for financial services.
