ICBC E-Banking Takes Home Five Awards Again

ICBC has won the total of 5 awards at the "10th China Distinguished Financial and Economic Securities Website Poll", including the top accolade of "10 Years Outstanding Contribution Award" and the other four Awards, namely "Best Mobile Banking", "Best Proprietary Innovation Award", "Best Marketing Promotion Award" and "Best Banking Website of the Year".

The "10 Years Outstanding Contribution Award" is the award to the companies which contribute significantly to the development progress of financial network in the country. ICBC is the only bank who wins the title among all the companies in the competition by its unrivalled service standard in e-banking.

According to the ICBC spokesman, ICBC continuously invests in product research and beefs up its marketing efforts since this year. Mobile Banking (WAP) 3G and online financial software are some of the newly launched innovative products. Market is thrilled at the special discounts offered to those who use Internet Banking (VIP) or Mobile Banking (WAP) for transfer or remittance.

As of the end of September this year, ICBC Internet Banking has 70.80 million individual users and 1.86 million corporate users. Today, online users, enterprises and public institutions in China all pick ICBC Internet Banking as the first choice for their e-banking. Meanwhile, ICBC e-banking transactions volume surpassed RMB 140 trillion over the first 9 months of this year.

48% of all the transactions were processed through e-banking channels.

Now in this tenth year run by Securities Times, the "China Distinguished Financial and Economic Securities Website" survey has become the most widely-covered, most influential, most authoritative poll in the financial sector of the country. 83 experts in the industry were invited in the judging panel of this year's review. 410,000 netizens participated in voting through Sina.com, Hexun.com or other websites for the "Investor Service Experience Index" specially introduced to the evaluation scheme.
