ICBC Receives Two State Patents Again

Recently, ICBC's Dynamic password-based Authentication System, Social Security Hybrid Smart Card Installation received Innovation Patent from the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO). This adds the total patents received this year to 5. ICBC stays ahead of the peers by having a total of 96 patents as of today.

The Dynamic password-based Authentication System is an improved version based on the former ICBC dynamic code card, offering extra security to customers' accounts. Social Security Hybrid Smart Card Installation is a solution for inter-connectivity of all servers between social security, bank, hospital and CUP through technical means. By using the advanced technology, this hybrid smart card is a social security card especially for the reimbursement in medical insurance with coverage from 5 insurances combined. The two new patents raise ICBC's competitive edge and expand its coverage in intellectual property rights.
