After winning the "Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards: Platinum Award" from the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, ICBC 2008 Annual Report won the crown of "Vision Award Annual Report: Silver Award" presented by League of American Communications Professionals LLC (LACP) and Gold Award from Annual Report Competition (USA).

LACP's "Vision Award" Annual Report Competition is considered an event of the industry. The judges are peers in the profession who judge across a broad range of criteria: Report Cover, Report Financials, Creativity, Report Narrative, Message Clarity & Information Accessibility. Over 3500 companies from 20 countries entered this year's competition, representing different sectors as varied as banks, aerospace, energy and manufacturing. ICBC 2008 Annual Report scored full points in "Report Narrative" and "Message Clarity & Information Accessibility".

ARC (US) Annual Report Awards were presented by the MerComm, Inc in 1987, an international media who is dedicated to honor the best annual reports every year. The MerComm Awards programs are coined as "Annual Report Oscar". This year's competition attracted over 1900 companies from 25 countries competing for the awards.

The many accolades received on ICBC 2008 Annual Report sums up ICBC's belief in information disclosure as it believes complete, timely and compliance reporting leads to the better understanding on how ICBC braces for the current financial crisis, and the efforts that ICBC made to turn into the most profitable, most outstanding, most admired bank through reform and innovation.
