ICBC is Named "Best Bank in China" for the Seventh Year

Global Finance (US) magazine recently announced the 2010 results of its annual ranking of the best emerging market banks in the world. ICBC edged ahead of all rivals and was named "Best Bank in China" for the seventh year.

Global Finance magazine is a leading and widely respected international publication in the financial services industry, the magazine runs the annual poll to select the top banking performers in emerging markets across the world. Global Finance magazine presented this year's Award for "Best Bank in China"to ICBC because of the bank's good performance, healthy development and new milestone achieved in integration services and international operation.

ICBC has quickened its pace in business innovation and re-orientation and achieved good result amid the most challenging economic conditions in 2009. ICBC is now the largest bank in the world by market capitalization, customer base and profitability. All businesses are moving forward and competitive edge is on the rise.

Credit outlay is increased where applicable and lending is more justified to meet the target. ICBC is adding speed to product innovation and comprehensive capability to serve customers. ICBC maintains its market dominance in emerging services such as credit card, electronic banking, investment banking, asset custody, pension fund and cash management.

In terms of international operation, ICBC achieves breakthrough with an expanding branch network across the world. Reorganization of ICBC International and capital injection to ICBC Leasing are completed as scheduled. ICBC is increasing its scale to grow across all segments.

ICBC Macau, a subsidiary under ICBC, also scooped this year's Award for "Best Bank in Macau."
